Air Tightness Testing

It is a requirement under Approved Document L: Volume 1 of the Building Regulations states that all dwellings should have an Air Tightness Test.

Air tightness testing is a method for determining the amount of conditioned air that is unintentionally lost from a building. This could be due to building defects such as unsealed gaps within the building envelope. The more air your building leaks, the more ‘draughty’ it will be.

With a significantly high pass rate on air tests, we have experience and know the primary air leakage areas in domestic properties from small sized studios to 8-bedroom houses and can advise on how to resolve these issues, while on site, to give you the best chance of passing.

All air tightness testers at Crown Energy Surveys are fully qualified and accredited by Elmhurst’s Accreditation Scheme.

We offer air testing for on-site / new builds and existing properties. To discuss your specific requirements, or to obtain a FREE quotation call us on 0151 271 6069 or complete our enquiry form below.
